Nurse Aide is one of the fastest growing healthcare occupations with many employment opportunities available in Wayne County and the surrounding area. Information about Nurse Aide (duties, employment, earnings, etc.) can be obtained from the U.S. bureau of Labor Statistics. The 80-hour Nurse Aide program is offered periodically (depending on demand) and is geared toward providing the participant with knowledge and skills necessary to take the written and skills exam to be a State Tested Nurse Aide. Program includes classroom, lab and clinical experiences. Attendance for all 80 hours of the program and the practice session to prepare for the "State Test" is mandatory. Requirement: Must have completed the 2-step Mantoux (TB) test prior to starting clinicals.
