This course is an entry level welding course to train new welders or retrain students to go into the field of welding. Students should bring their own helmet and welding gloves.
Of this 90 hour course, 10 are in related technical instruction, coupled with 80 hours of hands-on welding training. In this program the student will learn about safety and experience hands-on skills in the welding lab.
As a part of this program, students will take an AWS D1.1, structural steel, or D1.3, sheet steel certification test. This is a nationally recognized welding credential that will help give graduates an advantage when applying
for welding positions.
