Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers, is designed for healthcare professionals who must have a credential documenting successful completion of a course in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, CPR, and BLS. Such credentials are required for people who provide healthcare to patients in a wide variety of settings. The BLS for Healthcare Providers classroom course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. Course participants will learn how to recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies such as cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, and foreign-body airway obstruction.
